Límite Posible

Límite Posible is Ricardo Rendón's first solo exhibition at Arróniz Arte Contemporáneo. The exhibition is comprised of a selection of recent assemblages and installations whose aim is to question the content and structure of contemporary artistic work through the use of intervened gold leaf elements and the construction of welded ironwork structures, appealing to fragility and vulnerability as symbols of a current situation as well as of the relationship between emptiness and content within the work.

On one hand, intervened gold leaf assemblages — fractioned, mutilated and violated through perforations on their surface — and on the other, protective structures with welded ironwork assemblies, in such a way that it becomes difficult to establish where the limit of the work lies. Where does the work remain? In the holes and voids of the perforations, in the waste as evidence of the process, in the act of intervention or in the security devices that protect them; compositions that while appealing to the fragility and limit between emptiness and content within contemporary artistic work, a constant concern of the artist in his previous works, also show themselves as a reflection of the state of vulnerability and social insecurity that exists in our country.

Límite Posible es la primera exposición individual de Ricardo Rendón en la Galería Arróniz Arte Contemporáneo. La exposición esta conformada por una selección de ensambles e instalaciones recientes cuyo objetivo es cuestionar el contenido y la estructura de la obra artística contemporánea mediante el uso de elementos en hoja de oro intervenidos y la construcción con estructuras de herrería soldada, apelando a la fragilidad y la vulnerabilidad símbolo de una situación actual como también de la relación entre el vacío y el contenido dentro de la obra.

Límite Posible es la primera exposición individual de Ricardo Rendón en la Galería Arróniz Arte Contemporáneo. La exposición esta conformada por una selección de ensambles y esculturas recientes relacionadas directamente con el tema del contenido en la obra y su transformación mediante la intervención y protección de su soporte.

Por un lado ensambles en hoja de oro intervenidos, fraccionados, mutilados y violentados mediante perforaciones en su superficie, y por otra estructuras de protección con armados de herrería soldada, de tal forma que resulta difícil establecer cual es el límite de la obra, ¿donde queda la obra? en los huecos y vacíos de las perforaciones, en los desperdicios como evidencia del proceso, en el acto de intervención o en los dispositivos de seguridad que las protegen; composiciones que si bien apelan a la fragilidad y limite entre el vacío y el contenido dentro de la obra artística contemporánea, preocupación constante del artista en sus trabajos anteriores, tambien se muestran como un reflejo del estado de vulnerabilidad e inseguridad social que existe en nuestro país.
